You have made a great investment with your Weber Q Grill and these following tips should keep your grill working its best to look shiny and new.
Â
Cleaning your Weber Q:
Â
-
Before we begin I recommend wearing gloves, having your grill brushes handy, and a plastic scraper. Â Make sure the grill is cool, brush or scrap off built-up carbon on the underside of the lid.
-
For Gas models, it is recommended to clean your burner tubes 1-2 times a year. Â To clean the debris from your burner tube, take a clean brush and move across the burner tube. Â DO NOT go the length of the burner. For electric models DO NOT brush the heating element.
-
Use your scraper to remove any debris on the sides and bottom of the cook box. Â Scrap all the collected debris into the drip pan.
-
Replace the drip pan after cleaning the catch tray. Â Â You should always check you drip pan before grilling
-
For Gas models you should inspect all hoses for any cracks or abrasions. Â Using a soapy water solution, dab a small amount of the mixture of dish soap and water to all the connections. Â With your control knobs in the off position, turn on the gas. If you see bubbles start to form, there is a leak. Â DO NOT USE THE GRILL! Please note if you are not comfortable doing this test, please phone a specialist in your area.
