The Perfect Boiled Egg

by Micah

Today on Barber and Haskill's Kitchen we did an experiment to see how long to cook a boiled egg to achieve the perfect doneness. Everyone has their own opinion on what makes the perfect boiled egg, which is why we tested 5 eggs at varying times. For this experiment we cooked our eggs directly out of the refrigerator and immediately put them into an ice bath once we took them off the stove.

Instructions
1. Take your eggs out of the fridge and put them into a pot with cold water, the eggs should be covered by 1" of water.
2. Bring water with eggs  to a boil. Immediately turn off the burner and place a lid on top of your pot.
3. Cook until desired doness, see photo below.
4. Remove from pot and put directly into cold water.
5. Wait 20 minutes.
6. Peel eggs and enjoy!
